Furniture 101: Boxes (for Women & Non-Binary Makers) Mondays in June 6:00-9:00

In this workshop, students will learn several basic box-making techniques using both hand and machine tools. This multi-week course features daily technical demonstrations and work time with one-on-one instruction. We will cover simple and fun bandsaw boxes, machine-cut joinery such as mitre and finger joints, and simple hand tool joinery. We will also explore embellishments such as carved textures, painted surfaces, and other finishing techniques.

June 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th
$225 plus materials fee Paid directly to instructor. Expect to spend $20-50 on materials depending on the different woods you select for your projects. For example, a walnut hardwood is more expensive than birch which is more expensive than pine. Teresa will have lots of options for you.
This is a beginner level class and it would be helpful if students have already taken PowerTools 101 or have some familiarity with power tools.
