Build a Shaker Style Side Table (For Women & Non-binary Makers) September- Octobe (6 sessions)
Build a Shaker-Style Side Table
A table is a very useful bit of our surroundings. Imagine creating an end table or coffee table yourself! Materials provided, but you will have some choices of design. The rough dimensions are 2’ x 2.5’ x 15” high. Learn the basics and you can apply these skills to other furniture projects. This course is designed for all skill levels, but some tool knowledge could be helpful. Use both power tools and hand tools. Learn to true and glue up boards, cut mortise and tenon joints, use a pull saw, block plane and cabinet scraper. You will have 6 classes of basic instruction and access to open shop every Tuesday throughout the course (it is not required to attend all, but expect to work on your table outside of class) Open shop is supervised with a trained craftsperson to assist the build.
